Leticia Henderson lives in Baker City, OR where she is a county livestock, range, and forage extension agent. A lifelong student and learner, Leticia received her master’s degree in agricultural economics at New Mexico State University, and she is currently finishing her PhD in rangeland management from the University of Wyoming. To balance academia with real world applications, she enjoys visiting with close friends and family about the livestock production practices they use on a daily basis.
Leticia grew up on a ranch where her parents fostered her lifelong involvement with the beef industry. Through the years, she has been actively involved with various farm and ranch organizations. When she first graduated from college, she thought she wanted to be involved in policy, but has grown a deep appreciation for the importance of usable science as a tool for beef producers and consumers. Leticia concentrates on range related issues, but also likes to discuss topics from consumer demand to production practices. On her spare time, she enjoys camping, fishing, and hunting
